Part 1 (The Story of Language):
Language was born several thousand years ago – however, much after the appearance of human species.
The author has penned the story in a fashion similar to the story on development and growth of Human beings.
Today’s language has become a Big Family, with several additions, deletions, modifications and alterations. The story Continues.
21st February is recognised as the International Mother Language Day, after many struggles organised by concerned people.
The Author is optimistic that people will not only nurture their own language but show concern and love for other languages too.
Part 2: (The Story of Grammar)
Here the author has penned the story taking some hints from the story on development and growth of Human beings.
Assuming ‘Language as a Body’, he considers ‘Grammar as its Internal Structure’.
The necessity of grammar was felt at a much later stage. In fact, the development of Grammar brought in structured understanding on learning a language in a systematic and organised manner. It has also made it easier to understand any language, other than one’s mother tongue.
Today there are many languages, and each has its separate Grammar but there are some common guidelines.
He believes that interested persons will study Grammar to understand Language in a correct way.
The author concludes with the hope that “This small book may come as Handy for the Students as well as the learned Teachers, while discussing Language as well as Grammar.”
