The New Delhi World Book Fair opened its doors for readers, publishers and visitors on 10th February 2024. Walnut publication also made sure that its presence was felt in the book fair.
Our booth was painted in our brand colors of blue and white. The space was divided into three parts: children’s corner, book display and author’s corner.
- The colorful walls of children’s corner attracted many children who came with their parents to enjoy reading books and coloring the activity books. Activity books were given away to the children as an encouragement to be more creative.
- Books published under Walnut Publication were displayed on the shelf with ambient lighting.
- Author’s corner was designed especially for author interviews and book launches. As a step towards preserving the environment, Walnut Publication also gave away biodegradable seed pens and pencils.
Book Launch of ‘Ufff..’ written by Om Prakash Kushwaha took place on 11th February 2024. The author addressed the audience and spoke about his inspiration and the book. On the same day, another book launch of ‘Fabulous Five: Journey of Sunshine Hearts’ written by Simab Shaheen was held as well. Simab Shaheen talked about how this book captures the essence of friendship, innocence and the magic of generosity. Children enthusiastically got their copies of the book signed by the author. ‘The Extract of our Flaws’ written by Jasmeh Kaur witnessed the support of guests and readers alike at the book launch scheduled for 14 February 2024. The first volume of anthology by Walnut Publication, ‘First Flush of Spring’ – poems and stories was launched on 14th February. ‘Proud to be a woman’ by Anamika Kamboj was launched on 17th February. The book talks about how important it is for all adolescents to understand the changes happening in puberty.
Children’s corner saw many happy kids coloring the activity books. They were engaged with board books and children’s books. Many parents also happily purchased the children’s books for them. Bookmarks and eco-friendly pens and pencils were also included in the purchasing package.
Walnut Publication successfully set up its booth from 10th February to 18th February with readers brimming with happiness, excitement and enthusiasm to take the books along with them on a journey.
