Reena Kapoor grew up across India as an “army brat,” a wandering spirit that infuses her creative work. After a successful career as a tech executive spanning more than twenty-five years, she now devotes her time to writing plays, poetry, and stories. Her poetry and short fiction have been published in numerous literary journals and anthologies, while her plays have been staged by EnActe Arts in the Bay Area. Since 2011, Reena has also served as a Citizen Historian with the 1947 Partition Archive, recording oral histories of Partition survivors. An alumna of IIT Delhi and Northwestern University, she lives in Silicon Valley with her family and shares her reflections on Substack at Arrivals and Departures.
