Dr. Tapan Kumar Pan, M. Sc., Ph. D, Horticulturist; a conservation biologist has taken training in different disciplines like horticulture from Agri-Horticultural Society of India (AHSI), Kolkata; Ecological Impact Assessment (EIA), from Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (CIFRI) Barackpur; Bird Banding Training from Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS), Mumbai, etc. He has worked as Garden Superintendent, University Department of Botany, T. M. Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur (Bihar) for last 40 years. Beside his assignment work, he has done research work for about last 30 years in conservation biology and published 60 research papers and articles in different national and international journals in India and aboard. Dr. Pan is the life members of Bhagalpur, Bombay Natural History Society, Mumbai, Mandar Nature Club (MNC), and other nature conservation related organizations. His special interest is in conservation of nature.
