Dr. T.Jayanthi, a native of Kanyakumari District in Tamilnadu is a prolific scholar in the field of education. She is presently working as an Assistant Professor of History in Sarah Tucker College, Tirunelveli. She has worked as Assistant Professor of History in St. Mary’s College, Thoothukudi and Bon Secours College for Women in Thanjavur. She completed her graduation from Sree Ayyappa College for Women, Chunkankadai, and post graduation from Women Christian College, Nagercoil. She has pursued M.Phil and Ph.D from St.Mary’s College (Autonomous ), Thoothukudi. Her Ph.D Research was entitled “History of Cotton Trade in Madras Presidency with special Reference to Tamil Districts(1900 -1947)”. She is a prolific scholar who published numerous scholarly articles in various journals and also presented many research papers in various national and international conferences.
