Mr. Santigopal Jana is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History and Archaeology at Fakir Mohan University. He completed his M.A. in History in 2020 from Vidyasagar University, demonstrating strong academic proficiency. His areas of study include Modern Indian History, Environmental History, Colonial Science, and World History. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. on the topic, “Colonial Forest Policy and Its Impact on Indigenous People in North Odisha (1865–1947),” which examines the effects of colonial environmental policies on indigenous communities in Odisha. His research interests and academic engagement contribute significantly to teaching and historical scholarship.
