Dr. Prabhat Kumar Mohanty, a native of Garadpur village in Bhadrak district, Odisha, has had an illustrious academic and professional career. He earned his M.A. in History from Utkal University in 1983 and completed his M.Phil. in Ancient Indian History, Culture, and Archaeology from Kurukshetra University, Haryana, in 1985. In 2003, he was awarded a Ph.D. in History by Utkal University. With nearly 35 years of dedicated service in various degree colleges across Odisha, Dr. Mohanty established himself as a resourceful and respected educator. He retired in 2022 as an Associate Professor of History. Recognized as one of Odisha’s distinguished scholars, he has made significant contributions to the study of regional history, culture, and archaeology. Dr. Mohanty is the author of several publications, including his notable work “History of Bhadrak.” Numerous research papers authored by him have appeared in reputed national journals. He is also actively associated with several research societies and academic organizations at both state and national levels.
