Md. Masood Ahmad is currently serving as Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Maulana Azad College of Engineering & Technology, Patna, Bihar. He also holds the position of Dean Academic. Earlier, he served as the Director of the same institution for three years. He is presently a Member of the Board of Studies, School of River Studies, Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna, Bihar. He completed his bachelor’s degree from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, obtained his M.Tech. from IIT Delhi, and earned his Ph.D. from M.I.T., Muzaffarpur, with a specialization in Water Resources Engineering. Prof. Ahmad has more than thirty-two years of teaching and research experience. He has published and presented numerous technical papers at various international conferences. He has also organized a national-level workshop on GIS Applications in Water Resources Engineering. In addition, he has actively participated in seminars, conferences, and Faculty Development Programmes as a resource person and session chair. His research interests include Water Resources Engineering, Open-Channel Flow, GIS Applications in Water Resources Engineering, and Smart Irrigation Systems.
