Dr. Bidhan Chandra Samanta is now working as an Associate Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry, Mugberia Gangadhar Mahavidyalaya, Bhupatinagar, Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, India. He did his research work in the Materials Science Centre, IIT, Kharagpur during the period 2002-2007 and received Ph.D. degree from Vidyasagar University in 2008. His research interest includes polymer curing, toughening, Schiff base metal complexes, antibacterial, cytotoxicity and DNA/BSA binding studies. One scholar has obtained Ph.D. degree under his co-supervision and 9 scholars are now working in his lab under his supervision. Dr. Samanta has published 46 research papers in reputed international journals and published 11 edited books with ISBN from National and International publishers. Dr. Samanta received “Outstanding Paper Award in Chemistry” on 26th West Bengal State Science and Technology Congress, 2019, Govt. of West Bengal, “Best Faculty Award” and “Best Researcher Award” from VDGOOD Professional Association.
