Dr. Manoj Kumar Kalita did his M.Sc. (Agri) degree from College of Agriculture, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Assam and PhD from CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Haryana. He joined Assam Agricultural University in 1996 and presently working as Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology, Biswanath College of Agriculture, Assam Agricultural University, Biswanath Chariali, Assam. Dr. Kalita has published 7 books, 20 book chapters, more than 50 research papers in various journals of national and international repute, more than 70 popular articles, and more than 15 extension bulletins. He also participated in numbers of radio talks and TV shows. He is actively engaged in teaching, research and extension and handled various research projects funded by DBT, DST and other financial institutions. He is also guiding a numbers of students doing M.Sc and PhD programme in agriculture.
