She is a dedicated and passionate senior lecturer with 20 years of experience in teaching under-graduate students in the field of Economics, Business Economics and Statistics in West Bengal Degree colleges. A University Topper and winner of First class First Merit Certificate at the Degree level, Certificate of Merit in Mathematics, and successive scholarship awards at the University, she was awarded the Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) on the basis of her research work on the tests of Efficient Market Hypothesis in the Indian stock market. She has been a frequent contributor of research papers, articles and chapters to various seminar volumes, conference proceedings and edited books. She also enjoys undertaking administrative responsibilities and cherishes the experiences gained from both teaching as well as the administrative field. She aspires to excel in both teaching-learning and research- based activities and her numerous publications are a testimony to that. She has studied in different institutions across the country in course of her schooling and this has helped her, further, to understand the diverse and myriad socio-cultural and economic background of her students in tune with the rich and varied heritage of India. She is also passionate about travel and photography and knowing about the places and people across the globe are her other sources of sustenance.
