Dr. Anita Tomar is Scientist F at Forest Research Centre for Eco-rehabilitation, Prayagraj. She obtained her Ph.D in Forestry (Silviculture) from Forest Research Institute Deemed University, Dehradun in 2011. Her expertise include in the field of agroforestry, medicinal plants, rare, endangered and threatened plants, Forestry extension and trainings. She has completed number of projects on LKPs and has vast experience in this field. She is recipient of Women Scientist Award in 2010, Best Scientist Award in 2020 for outstanding contribution and recognition in the field of Biodiversity Conservation. Also adjudged for ‘Brandis Prize’ by Indian Forester in 2007. Awarded with International Scholarships from IUFRO, Vienna (Austria), German Ministry of Food and Agriculture (FAO) and International Poplar Commission (IPC). She has more than 100 research publications in National and International journals.
