Dr Mriganka Shekhar Sarkar is the junior scientist at the North East Regional Centre, Itanagar (A.P.) of GBPNIHE. He has over ten years of experience working in biodiversity and conservation. He has earned PhD in zoology (Wildlife Sciences) from the Wildlife Institute of India and gained post-doctoral experiences from IISER Kolkata and the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. He has published one book and 16 research articles in highly reputed journals in the field of conservation science. He is a bird enthusiast and watcher.
