The author of this work, Babita Das, is born on 1st July, 1975 at Narsinghpur (Madhya Pradesh). She completed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination in 1992 with first division from Board of Secondary Education, Bhopal (M.P.). In the year 1994, she joined College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Jabalpur and completed bachelor’s degree (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) in 1999, Masters (M.V.Sc. & A.H. in Veterinary Surgery) in 2002 and PhD in Veterinary Surgery in 2020, from Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology, College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry,NDVSU, Jabalpur. She joined Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology, Nananji Deshmukh Veterinary University, Jabalpur in the year 2011 as Assistant Professor/Scientist.

She has been felicitated for “Best oral paper presentation” and “Best poster presentation” in Canine surgery and Radiology Session II in 17th National symposium of Indian Society for Canine Practice, organized at NDVSU, Jabalpur, from 21st to 23rd January 2020. Apart from these she has presented papers in various symposiums held across country.

She is Joint Secretary for Indian Society for Veterinary Surgery, Local chapter MP and CG. She is life member of many scientific and professional societies viz. Indian Society for Veterinary Surgery (ISVS), Indian Society for Advancement of Canine Practice (ISACP), Association of Animal Scientists (AAS), United Small Animal Practitioner’s Association (USAPA) M.P. & C.G and JVC Alumni Association, Jabalpur.

She has published approximately 20 research articles in National and International Journals and many popular articles in various topics. She has delivered lectures on various advanced surgical topics to field veterinarians during trainings funded by ASCAD.
