Dr. Gurpreet Kaur is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology at Akal University, Talwandi Sabo, Punjab. She obtained her Ph.D. in Zoology from Panjab University, Chandigarh, with research expertise in Immunoparasitology and host– parasite interactions, particularly in the field of leishmaniasis. Her academic and research interests include parasitic diseases, immunology, vector-borne diseases, host immune responses, and therapeutic approaches against parasitic infections. Dr. Kaur has published several research papers in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals and has contributed chapters to books published by internationally recognized publishers, including Springer and Elsevier. Her research work reflects an interdisciplinary approach integrating parasitology, immunology, molecular biology, and biomedical sciences. She is also actively involved in teaching, research, curriculum development, and mentoring students in the field of life sciences and zoology.
