Dr. Bidisha Chakraborty is an Assistant Professor at the Amity Institute of English Studies and Research. She completed her Ph.D. in English from Banaras Hindu University, where her research focused on Bhojpuri wedding songs and their cultural significance. An active academic and researcher, she has contributed articles to Scopus-indexed journals and presented her work at various national and international conferences. Her areas of scholarly interest include folkloristics, ritual and performance studies, gender studies, and translation studies.
