Prof. Ksh. Lal Bihari Singha, a faculty member in the Department of Life Sciences (Botany) at Manipur University, is renowned for his outstanding contributions to restoration ecology, biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation, bamboo resource management, and sustainable livelihoods. He has successfully executed 13 government-sponsored projects of national and international significance. Prof. Singha holds two patents, has authored 67 research articles, edited three books, and supervised 23 Ph.D. scholars. He is a Fellow of NIE, ESDA, DBT, and CSIR, and a recipient of nine national and international awards, including the CDRI World (UN) Lifetime Fellow Award, the Lifetime Achievement (Earth Saviour) Award, the Treasure Trove of Scientific Knowledge Award, and the Shiksha Bharati Award.
