‘Higher Education Management - Leading with Ethics and Transparency’ focuses on developing transparent and ethical management systems within the higher education institutions. The book aims to sensitize higher education leaders and managers about the different ethical issues in managing higher education both at the strategic as well as operational level. Based on an in-depth analysis of practical challenges, the book critically examines the relevance of strategic priorities, as found common in managing higher education institutions. It offers an alternative framework for aligning different higher education management functions with a transparency focus. This volume outlines several of our most important thoughts on ethics and transparency in higher education. These thoughts are built on more than 40 years of combined experience in the field. We not only provide conceptual input but also an opportunity, abstract thoughts and concepts in this book, but also an opportunity to practice, apply, and test your understanding with the help of a number of case studies. If you feel confident about your ability to solve them, you gain an additional indication that your preparation for senior leadership roles is on track.
