Saira Mulla is Associate Professor in Chemistry at N.G. Acharya & D.K. Marathe College of Arts, Science and Commerce Chembur, University of Mumbai. She completed her M.Sc. degree from Department of Chemistry University of Mumbai, Kalina (Vidyanagri) followed by a Doctorate degree from Institute of Science, Fort (Mumbai). In 2012 she was awarded degree in Law from Dr. D.Y. Patil University, Nerul Navi Mumbai. She has published 16 research papers in National and International Journals and two reference books (GUIDELINES TO OBTAIN PATENT N INDIA by Walnut publication and EMULSION LIQUID MEMBRANE TECHNOLOGY:SEPARATION OF COMPOUNDS OF BIOLOGICAL IMPORTANCE, LAMBERTS Publication) by international publishers are to her credit. She has been granted Patent by Indian Patent office under PATENT ACT, on her research work Emulsion Liquid Membrane Technique in 2012.

This is her third book.
