Land is a finite and one of the fundamental resources provided by nature to mankind. Land acts as platform on which mankind performs all his activities for survival. For his survival, man engages himself in different activities. A significant share of total land surface of the world is used for agricultural activities. Over the last few decades, development of secondary and tertiary activities coupled with rapid population growth, has caused an unprecedented transformation of agricultural lands.
