The idea to write to this book is an out-come of a general discussion when we are working on a research paper during COVID -19 period on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, collectively known as WaSH. As everyone knows that human survival on earth is often regarded as the outcome of many unique features available on the earth's surface. All these unique features are very crucial to human survival and for their development. Among these many things, water, sanitation and hygiene are the essential needs and a critical asset for any country. It determines the contours of socio-economic development and quality of life of a region. The adequate access to all WaSH facilities is often regarded as the benchmark for all developmental activities in any society or country. This book is an attempt to analysis the present scenario of WaSH in major states of India in general and the State of Haryana and, Gohana tehsil in particularly it may help people of different disciplines to know a broad picture of the availabilities of water sanitation and Hygiene at macro-meso and micro level. In conceptual frame work we have made an attempt to throw the light on food population debate in Geography and how the availability of safe drinking water, sanitation and Hygiene effect the food security. It is based on some literary work and data collected by both primary and secondary sources.
