Naveen Kumar

Naveen Kumar was born on October 5, 1953 in a farmer family of Varanasi district. He completed schooling and graduation in Jaunpur (UP) from Tilak Dhari College. He did his post-graduation in Mathematics from Allahabad University in 1973 and Ph. D. from Banaras Hindu University in 1984, from where he retired as Professor in October 2018 at the age of 65 years. During last ten months of his active service he served as Dean of the Institute of Science. He also served M. L. K. College Balarampur (UP) as lecturer in Mathematics from 1973 to 1984. He represented school and college teams of Football and Hockey as player and captain, and was involved in official capacities with sports and games throughout his service.
