Tremendous progress has been made in the field of civil engineering since early civilizations throughout the world. Advancements in civil engineering and thorough awareness of disaster management as well as environmental protection have given necessary self-confidence and determination for the human race to face the world today. For this it is essential to share the acquired knowledge and experience globally and to incorporate these for sustainable design and development. Realizing the importance of recent developments in the area of Civil Engineering for sustainable development, the Department of Civil Engineering, MANIT Bhopal organized an International Conference on the Recent Advances in Civil Engineering for Sustainable Development (RACESD 2021) during February 13 – 14, 2021. This conference attracted quite a lot of interest and attention of academic institutions, industries of various professional fields and R&D organizations.
