My maiden book is a collection of 12 short stories and 9 poems, all capturing the charm of a simple life where small joys like reading, listening, and heartfelt relationships were treasured. Many pieces are inspired by real characters and childhood memories—such as Daana Bhati, a social gathering place for children. Stories like Dove and Nova encourage resilience, Tiger and Tribal emphasizes forest conservation, while Eternal Fire pays homage to the source of life. Poems like Mother and Longing express deep maternal love, while works such as Nand Panditji, Lakha Singh, and Pandit Family reveal humor in unexpected moments. Others, including Stationery Store, Ram aur Shyam, Bakery, Breeze in Afternoon, Post Office, and Amma, nostalgically recall a time when children found delight in everything under the secure care of elders. Bliss emerged from the song of a robin, while Planets and Agastya have been written for my grandsons. Finally, FMN is a heartfelt tribute to true lovers of the past.
