Project Management in Community Development

Dr. Kumaraswamy C began his career in 1987 and is an eminent academic and development professional with over four decades of experience in social transformation. He holds an MBA, MSW, PGDHRM, and other professional qualifications, along with a Ph.D. in Women’s Empowerment. He has worked as an Associate Professor in Social Work and Management for the past ten years. He has also led numerous development projects across India, particularly in the areas of women’s development and Panchayati Raj Institutions, in association with organizations such as German Agro Action, UNICEF, CARE, DFID, the World Bank, and NRLM.

Deepika N. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at Acharya Institute of Graduate Studies. She holds a postgraduate degree in Social Work with specialization in Community Organization from St. Joseph’s University, securing second rank, and is pursuing a Ph.D. at Davanagere University on tribal livelihoods in the Western Ghats. With over five years of teaching and development-sector experience, she teaches Project Management and has worked extensively with NGOs on organic farming, SHGs, women empowerment, and rural livelihoods.
