Institute Industry Interaction and its Influence on Skill Development: The Case of Kerala

Dr. B. Shaji, MBA (HRM) & Ph.D. (Management Studies) has about 4 years of industry experience in steel industry and more than 17 years of teaching experience in vocational education at higher secondary level. He has been actively involving in several academic activities including curriculum developments and teacher training in the areas of Vocational Education. He is currently coordinating the industry interaction activities of department of General Education (VHSE wing), Government of Kerala at the State level.

Dr. Prakash Pillai R, MSW (PM&IR) & Ph.D. (Management Studies) has around 18 years of teaching experience at PG level in different management institutes and four years of research experience. He has undertaken several research projects in the areas of Social Responsibility, Higher Education, Happiness and Labour Movements for reputed Government agencies in India. He is a member of the Academic Council of the University of Kerala and a Member of PG Board of Studies in Social Work. Dr. Prakash is an approved research guide for Ph.D. in the faculty of Management Studies in the University of Kerala and Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He serves as a resource person for research methodology and SPSS training programmes. He has a couple of books and several research papers in his credit of publications in reputed national and international journals. Dr. Prakash is a member of AIMS (academy of Indian Management Scholars) International, Houston, USA. He is currently the Joint Secretary of 3E Innovative Foundation, a not–for-profit organization based in Gurgaon.
