This anthology of poems and paintings is among the pristine works of Syeda Arifa Tasneem. In her early teens, she captivated interest in poetry as she was introduced to English literature. Those were the days when she tried to fathom the meaning of romantic love, and consequently ‘Love’ became the theme of the inceptive period of her poems.
Her paintings are usually in acrylic, where she delves into the providence of nature, in its many hues. Soothing and captivating, her paintings complement her poetry to form a blend of word and colour to mesmerise the reader/ visualiser and evoke many an emotion.
Her poems articulate one's feelings towards a beau and the manner in which one is heart-broken when a beloved falters to live up to one's expectations in asserting love. For more than a decade after her last poem titled ‘Broken Heart’, she took a hiatus and only years later, she resumed her talent of writing poetry while pursuing her doctoral degree in Psychology. This book commemorates the title of one of her latest poems ‘Love Me Some Day’.
During her academic career she has published academic research articles on mindfulness and is currently in the process of writing a book on Mindfulness as her earliest non-fiction work.
