Addiction to drugs, alcohol or tobacco has been growing like a cancer in the world. Starting from experiment, consumption of these substances goes to an extent where the person feels that he cannot even breathe without that particular substance. Despite the ever-increasing number of legislations, schemes, advertisements and programmes to curb the prevalence of these substances, the rate of consumption is steadily shooting up. Public-Private- community partnership is a favourable kind of approach for the prevention and management of substance abuse. This is a miniature version of what has to be developed into an action plan. If people are trained to renounce the illicit substances, that will surely sear the illegal market of illicit drugs. NGOs, private firms, individuals, community organizations, clubs and any entity having the feeling that the vicious social evil of substance abuse has to be uprooted should come up with innovative ideas and efforts. This book looks forward to concoct expert opinion, suggestions and the views of the authors for strengthening and restructuring the concept in a constructive manner.
